I adore that the humanoid animal races of Dungeons and Dragons lend themselves so well to being diverse. You can take a tabaxi and have your character have any feline form or even other mammalian beasts. You can do the same with the kenku or aarakocra. The world of birds is vast and diverse, and they can lend themselves well to certain subclasses or just look awesome. This little chap is an aarakocra because I'd like him to be able to fly like a puffin would; a frantic bath toy.
This piece was part of my journey to learn how to use watercolour and how I would create fantasy art.
