In my mind, this character is a confident person whose understanding of barbmanship has been distorted through the orc filter. His father was a human bard who settled with his mother in her tribe. His father died when he was very young, so he didn't really understand his father's art. So he journeys around The Sword Coast with a library of harsh sounding tunes whilst cracking skulls to the rhythm of creation.
He named his father's lute "Tempo".
I was very thrilled with how this piece turned out. A few years ago I would have never imagined I would have been able to produce a figurative painting of this level. I'm very grateful to the PubDraw series on Youtube, run by Babs Tarr. The fundamental basics gave me enough of a platform to begin exploring figure drawing with confidence.
